Not really - unless you call weird carving scary. Which some do. Last night we had our annual "Family Pumpkin Carving Night." A tradition we started when our oldest was 7 months old her first Halloween. We clear off the kitchen table and line it with newspapers, pick our pumpkin patterns and let Daddy go to work. Well..that's been the tradition but now we have so many kids that I actually have to participate in the carving of the pumpkins. I don't mind it's fun...but usually Paul gets the really hard designs and I get the really easy ones. However, somehow last night he got to do Lily's star eyes and I ended up with Julia's Mickey Mouse.
The girls had fun separating the seeds though Lily kept talking about how "gross the pulp is." We roasted the pumpkin seeds and everyone has been munching on them all day. A fun night last night and a great kick-off to the Halloween fun today!
