Because I Can

If you know Julia, my 2 1/2 year old you may think she's sort of quiet and shy. And she is. In public. At home or once you really get to know her not so much. She's had some speech issues..the girl didn't utter a word that made sense until she was 2. And for the first few months after she was 2 it was mostly one word here and there. She was in speech therapy for almost a year. Well, the past 3 months or so her speech has really come along..blossomed if you will. She now talks and talks and talks. Just like her older sisters. And along with all the talking comes the questions. Question after question after question. So last night we were in the car and our conversation goes something like this:

Julia: Mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, why? why? why? why? about anything and everything.
Me: Julia why do you ask so many questions?
Julia: Because
Me: Because why?
Julia: Because I talk now and I can

Ah..if only that independent spirit would manifest itself in the potty training.....
