St. Patrick's Day

today is st. patrick's day. i honestly have no idea who st. patrick was, why we celebrate it and what the Pope has to do with it (i've been told the Pope said no partying today since it's Holy Week). i sure hope my kids don't start asking questions about it. then again i should ask my 5 year old since she probably knows all about st patricks day. don't kids know something about everything...even if they don't...

i can't believe Easter is this week, then it's Spring Break and we're headed to Disney. i'm so excited and we're telling the kids on Easter. they are going to be beside themselves. my bff is also coming along on the trip and they are going to be way excited about that too. they love my bff (who is currently single, no kids) so much and fortunately my bff loves my kids to death. it is really awesome to have someone who isn't related to you love your children like their own. for that we are truly blessed.

i'm off to google st. patrick and see if i can figure this out. did you know today is a "holiday" in boston? really, those new englanders will use any excuse to get out of working....

That Mom

yep, i'm that mom...you know that mom, that takes her sick kids to playgroup and spreads the stomach bug to 6 other people...that mom...that's me....


in my defense, i totally thought my kids were fine - they had been symptom free for 48 hours. who knew the bug can still pass on 3 days after symptoms dissappear. seriously. i think i might be banned from the playgroup i help start....i didn't mean to be that mom....
